Our History
After serving various areas of Tanzania since 1993, W.W. Schaefer, MD, began work in the Kagera region, one of the poorest areas of Tanzania, to provide orthopedic care to trauma victims and those who suffered birth defects who otherwise had no access to life-changing surgeries that would allow them to live healthy, active lives.
